Project description
“Me and My Brain” is a total work of art, created at the interface of art, science, film and VR. Learn more about and experience the human brain in an experimental setting that takes you beyond the separation between reality and fiction.
The “BlackBox” is the central part of the physical art space and VR installation Me & My Brain from mYndstorm productions by Oliver Czeslik and Kathrin Brunner. It is currently being developed at Bauhaus University Weimar. In the Open Lab of Me & My Brain, we show the current status together with the Bauhaus team and let the presentation concept grow together with the visitors.
The BlackBox – externally positioned somewhere in between the Kaaba and Malevich’s Black Square – internally allows a view into the brain by means of VR.
Considerations of Suprematism, Constructivism and the Bauhaus on perspective and the overcoming of two-dimensional space are transferred into the experience of virtual reality today. Let your mind go live!
To open the summaery, the “BlackBox. Open Lab” offers a premiere. Under the direction of Fred Kelemen and in cooperation with graduates of the Bauhaus University Weimar, a first VR trailer has been created, allowing an exclusive view of the VR experience in production.
The Open Lab also offers a preview of the presentation of the prototype of Me & My Brain, which will be held on Nov. 27 as part of the 20th Festival BACKUP & BEYOND.
