Project description
The Bauhaus Walks originated from a seminar at the Bauhaus University Weimar in the winter semester 2017/2018. The students from the Media Culture course worked out three walks through the Bauhaus Weimar a hundred years ago. A walk takes us through the Weimar of the students at the Bauhaus, a second accompanies the master Johannes Itten for one day, a third takes us back to the conflict-laden post-war period in Weimar and takes us to the central places where there was controversy about the Bauhaus, but also at the Bauhaus.
Since the three historical walks lead through today's Weimar, they are intended to stimulate new perspectives on the city beyond the Bauhaus anniversary. Let us surprise you with new views, insights and impressions, but above all we hope you enjoy your walks!
