Project description
To celebrate his graduation, Jannis Uffrecht places an orange-colored, 40-ft. standard shipping container (Hapag Lloyd AG) on campus. A new space, a temporary exhibition area, visits from friends, big closing event on Sunday. Ufftata!**
*UFF! - A word play referring to the first three letters of the artist’s name as well as to a German colloquialism expressing profound relief. The English equivalent being PHEW!

To celebrate his bachelor’s graduation, Jannis Uffrecht places an orange-colored, 40-ft. standard shipping container (Hapag Lloyd) on campus. This new and temporary space is used dynamically. The exhibition refers to continuance, container and context. Shown along with others are photographs, installations and video pieces. The artist is visited by friends. Performances and other cooperation take place (further information on location). An island of art. Uff!
