Project description
When we are confronted with data, it is almost always in the form of graphs with charts and tables and lots of numbers. Yet we have more senses that we use to perceive information in our environment. Not everything can always be easily expressed in numbers or the numbers cannot always be easily interpreted. What about vibration, sound or light instead? What properties do we ascribe to these modalities and for which data are they well suited as a form of representation? I am dealing with these questions in my master's thesis.
