Project description

Influences of future e-mobility on the energetic building physics district planning of the Bauhaus University Weimar. Germany wants to become climate neutral by 2045 to comply with the Paris climate agreement and that includes the Bauhaus University. To this end, the Building Electromobility Infrastructure Act was passed in 2020 and renewed in 2021. It says that by 2025 at least every fifth parking space must be equipped with a line infrastructure and at least one charging point. Thereare four locations that I examined: location one is the buildings around the main building,

Location two is the university library and the SCC, location three is the university buildings in Courdraystraße and location four is the university sports hall on the Falkenburg.

E-cars need around 15 kWh for 100 km and a distinction is made between slow charging with direct current, alternating current or inductive and fast charging in less than 30 minutes with direct current. The more cost-effective, slower charging stations are primarily intended as a usage concept, as university members spend several hours at their workplace and fast charging stations only as a supplement to improve flexibility. In addition, there should be cooperation with the surrounding residents, who can charge their e-cars mainly at night.
