Project description

Sommernachtstape und Medienrolle will be the "Summer Reel".
The student film makers of the Faculty of Art and Design invite you to a new format called "Summer Reel". Following a 17-year tradition of summer competition programmes, current short films from the study programmes Media Art and Design and Visual Communication will now be shown together for the first time: Animated, documentary, playful and music-oriented productions reflect the cinematic diversity of the Faculty of Art and Design at the Bauhaus University Weimar. The audience can follow the livestream of the "Summer Reel" on Friday, 31th July at 9 pm at www.uni-weimar.de/summer-reel on their end devices - and wherever they have Internet access. Another new feature is the Audience Award: guests can vote for their favourite film via an online voting system. The event will be hosted by the moderators Lena Liberta, Artistic Assistant at the Chair of Media Events and media management student Nadine Katschmarek. The film program of the "Summer Reel" was curated by students of the professorships Media Events and Crossmedia Moving Image as part of a course in the summer semester 2020.
