Project description

Since the summer semester 2017, the design of an augmented and commented picture of technical infrastructure as a conceptual prototype has been part of the learning activities of the course “Infrastructure - Waste, Energy, Transport, Water.“ The idea behind it: Students should dedicate themselves to designing practice-oriented Augmented Reality applications without being dependent on technical prerequisites.

The conceptual approach was presented together with the results of a questionnaire survey from the summer semester 2019 in a chapter of the book “Augmented Reality in Education”, published by Springer-Verlag, Geroimenko, V. (Ed.). (2020). described:

One of the main findings is that students highly appreciate this type of teaching and say that they learn through the activity. Another conclusion is that Augmented Reality can be used for learning activity as early as the conception phase without requiring great technical skills on the part of the students.
