Project description

Results of the seminar Feminist Food Landscapes examine contemporary feminist food production and art practices with references to debates on intersectionality, environmental justice, gender stereotypes in urban and rural environments. Through close readings of key texts and weekly transmedial reflections we explored connections between these themes as they are critiqued, affirmed or challenged by creative practices. In addition to individual research papers, student groups developed performative interventions, speculative objects, installations and prototypes, which will be presented at the Summaery together with works from the follow-up seminar, Counterplanning the Kitchen: Care, Work and the World. Works will be presented at the Alte Feuerwache Weimar on Sat. 13. - Sun. 14. Juli.
