To make the theory-based, partially one-sided teaching more digital and modern, some courses of the "Built Environment" "Business for All" were converted to an interactive and integrated Blended-Learning format and combined with the Flipped-Classroom-concept. By using the learning platform Moodle of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the students were able to interact with relevant teaching materials. Online learning formats such as self-recorded instructional videos, online quizzes and forums were used. In the presence events of the courses, the online solved tasks were presented and discussed. In addition, the relevance of the topics and their theoretical concepts were better illustrated in by the increased integration of founders and managing directors of relevant companies. As a result, a modern, forward-looking format of teaching and transfer was created, which on the one hand integrates across faculties as well as profiling the universities' environment. The students have developed an increased interest in business processes through the innovative idea of the flipped classroom as well as the contact to founders and established business representatives in order to be able to solve practical problems while developing and deepening relevant metacompetencies. Due to the positive experiences, the learning concept is transferred to various other courses of the chair, in order to be able to best teach and learn topics of the built environment.
