Below you will find an overview of all scholarhips granted by Bauhaus-Universität Weimar as well as a description of the scholarships granted by the International Office, which particularly support international students and students going abroad for studys or internships.

As part of the German Academic Exchange Service’s (DAAD) scholarship and support programme STIBET the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s International Office supports international students in the graduation phase.

STIBET I (Graduation Scholarship for International Students)
Target group: international bachelor or master students who are close to graduation (within one year).
Duration: single payment
Amount: 500 -700 € (depends on the allocation of funds)
Funding criteria: very good achievements, special graduation project, financial distress

Application documents:
- application form
- Transcript of records (grades)
- Abstract explaining the current status of your final thesis

Deadline: November 2nd 2016

STIBET Doktoranden

Target group: international phd students who are close to graduation
Duration: 3 months
Höhe: 1000 €/month
Funding criteria: very good achievements, special graduation project, financial distress

The International Office and the Bauhaus Research School support qualified doctoral and postdoctoral candidates by funding teaching and research assistantships through the DAAD programme STIBET.

Target group: international doctoral and postdoctoral candidates who earned their university entrance qualification abroad
Duration: max. 6 months
Amount: 400 Euro/months
Criteria: personal qualification of the candidate, the project's contribution to the internationalization of teaching and research at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

Each year in August the Bauhaus Summer School offers intensive language courses for German as a Foreign language. Students of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can apply for a scholarship.

Scholarship "Deutsch in Weimar" 
Target Group: students
Duration: 4 Wochen (im August)
Amount: tuition waiver (course fee: 650 Euro)
Funding criteria: basic German language skills
Application deadline: 10 May 2015
