Preparing for your trip

The next steps are:

  • Nomination by the International Office
  • Application to the partner university
  • Search for accommodation
  • Leave of absence or notification to the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar
  • Required entry and residence permits (visas)
  • Health insurance, including any necessary vaccinations
  • Learning Agreement for recognition of your study and examination achievements

Details of all of these steps and the documents required are also outlined in the Erasmus+ checklist. All documents are available in the International Office’s download area.

You are able to earn credits in Germany for your study achievements abroad. For this to happen, a Learning Agreement must be reached with your academic advisor or international counsellor before you go abroad.
