Internship abroad

At the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, there are countless opportunities to go abroad – be it to study or to complete an internship. We can gladly support you in your preferred endeavour!

A stay abroad will allow you to broaden your horizons. In addition to acquiring additional expertise, you will also have the unique opportunity to gain insights into life in another country, to familiarise yourself with a new culture and to acquire language skills that would hardly be possible any other way.

The International Office awards Erasmus+ mobility grants and advises students on how they can finance their trip. The DAAD’s PROMOS programme provides grants for projects abroad, which are not eligible for any other structured funding (e.g. Erasmus+) or DAAD programme.

  • Funding is available for students and graduates studying abroad within Europe through the Erasmus+ programme.

  • The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is the world’s largest student exchange organisation for engineering and science students.

  • Work and study stays for students and young professionals in Africa, Asia and Latin America; a development policy learning and training programme run by the Engagement Global agency for development initiatives.

  • The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar provides funding especially for study visits and internships in non-European countries through the DAAD’s PROMOS programme.
