National Code for the Study of Foreign Students
In a resolution of the Extended Rectorate dated 28 April 2010, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar committed itself to the National Code for the Study of Foreign Students at German Universities. The aim of the code is to establish uniform minimum standards for the supervision of international students. It is concerned with quality standards in the following areas:
- Information, advising and recruiting
- Admissions and classification
- Professional, linguistic and social advising
- Services during and after completion of studies
- Complaint handling
- Classification of international students
Information should be made available transparently, comprehensively and in as many languages as possible. The aim is to put international students on an equal footing with German students and offer them any additional help they need.
