Even if digital communication effortlessly connects continents, it cannot replace personal exchange. Especially when a research team from Germany and Bangladesh is supposed to grow together in order to search for solutions together. The second episode of the research diary »SCIP Plastics« is about the first joint meeting in Bangladesh. Project employees from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the Institute for Social-Ecological Research (ISOE), the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) and the Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) met. Research assistant Senta Berner reports on her impressions.

The third workshop in the »Vielfalt gestalten« (shaping diversity) audit will take place on 10 November 2022 and will be hold, fo the first time, in person. The workshop will correspondingly focus on personal exchanges. All university members are warmly invited to a World Café, which will be located in the Oberlichtsaal.

»Kritzelkiste – Der Illustrationspodcast« heißt die Bachelorarbeit von Hannes Naumann im Studiengang Visuelle Kommunikation. Im Interview mit Zeichner*innen spricht er nicht nur über die Arbeit, Techniken und Inspirationen, sondern auch über die Hürden, denen man in der Branche begegnet und das Thema Geld. Eine Besonderheit des Formates ist der »Plot Twist«, eine geheimnisvolle Kiste, die in den Gesprächen eine interessante Rolle spielt.

The Equal Opportunity Office’s »Publication Fund« is open up its second call for applications. Under the title »HOME ZONE – Francis Zeischegg & Friends«, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar gallery, which currently resides in the rooms of the Kunsthaus Erfurt, presents the works of long-time the lecturer of the Faculty of Art and Design. On display will be works from the past ten years, which will be set in relation to works by »friends«, students and colleagues who have influenced Francis Zeischegg.
