(as of Marchl 8, 2022)
Because the compulsory Infection Protection Act, the basis for dealing with the Corona pandemic, will expire on 20 March 2022, a number of questions arise for the coming semester at our university. What is clear is that it is to be an attendance semester - the omens are encouraging.
» The introductory events for our new students also take place in person (hybrid if required). The module exchanges will continue to be held digitally. Further information can be found in our overview.
» Please also note that the majority of the Media Faculty will be at a new address from 1 April 2022.
To enable as many people as possible to come together, the basic regulations on keeping your distance, observing hygiene, wearing a mask and ventilation will remain in force for the time being. The university management and the deans of the faculties agree that mask-wearing is obligatory if the distance falls below 1.5m. This will allow capacity utilisation to increase from 25% without masks to 50% with masks. The upper limit for indoor and outdoor gatherings will be adopted from the regulations of the city of Weimar and the state of Thuringia, which will be decided on 19 March 2022. Please also note the signs at the seminar rooms of the Faculty of Media
The student teams for 3G control can be given new tasks, as the 3G rule will be dropped without replacement. Contact recording will also no longer be necessary. The University is committed to maintaining the testing centre on our campus so that easy access remains in case of need for more security. Depending on the legal situation, we will continue to proceed in accordance with an outline hygiene plan or it will be superseded by other plans.
The Corona crisis team is working with the faculties on the general opening of our buildings. According to the current status, this should first take place for university members and then for external parties, e.g. for the Audimax or the main building. The absolutely understandable wishes for more possibilities of use for workrooms are easier to implement than for workshops, as the applicable occupational health and safety regulations for employees must be strictly adhered to here. All those involved are looking for good possibilities.
The contents of this page are constantly updated. We therefore ask you to consult both the faculty page and the general Corona information page of the university.
If you have any questions or uncertainties, please do not hesitate to contact us. To do so, please contact the subject advisors in your respective department or the student office at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
