This year's DAAD prize is honouring Pappal Suneja for his outstanding contributions to the promotion of social and academic exchange at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In his doctoral thesis, Suneja focusses on modern Indian architecture; his work has enriched the university not only through his research, but also through his commitment to international doctoral students.
He has boosted the international reputation of the Bauhaus with events, publications, and interdisciplinary networking. He is currently a visiting scholar at MIT and plans to complete his doctorate in 2025.
The DAAD award is an annual prize bestowed on international students and doctoral candidates who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and social commitment.
