From 10 am to 6 pm, the Mensa am Park will be transformed into a colourful Christmas market. In addition to creative Christmas accessories made out of a broad range of materials. Some of which are recycled, the market will also be offering numerous gift ideas, such as design products and unique everyday pieces designed by Bauhaus-Universität Weimar students, staff and alumni.
Vendors include employee Kathryn Arsenault, who will be there, offering quilts, quilted hot water bottle sleeves, and bags. Students Anna Buhler and Julia Synnatzschke will be selling hair accessories handmade from recycled fabrics, lino prints, comics, and hand-bound sketchbooks, and student Dominic Dives will be selling concrete clocks. Alumna Alessa Dresel will be selling handmade ceramics and alumnus Jascha Fibich will be selling kitchen knives and wooden jewellery.

Alongside the market, the Alumni Office will be screening fairytale films, such as »Die Sieben Raben« and »Rübezahl und der Schuster« from noon to 5 pm. Flexible childcare is available. Later in the afternoon from 1 to 5 pm, the »LebkuchenBauhausWettbewerb« (gingerbread house competition) organised by the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism’s Student Council will be open to the public. From 10 am to 6 pm, wrapping paper will also be sold on the ground floor of the Mensa and the Alumni Office and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar Freundeskreis will be available at their information stands.
