Choosing the right study program is an important decision and needs to be carefully considered. Individual interests and abilities play just as important a role as practical relevance, internationality or the reputation of the university. Often, a personal conversation with experts on site helps to get a better impression. But not every prospective student has the opportunity to travel to the university in person in advance. "That's why we decided to set up a study start infohotline for prospective students in addition to the general student counseling service and information offerings on our website," explains study advisor Birgit Bode.
The special feature: Students are on the phone to share their personal experiences with the curious and provide an authentic insight into student life in Weimar. Assistance and guidance is provided by the examination offices and subject advisors of the faculty. "The hotline advises and supports prospective students as well as applicants and newly enrolled students. The aim of the hotline is to inform inquiries regarding application requirements, study focus, study conditions, the work of the student council - especially in the context of the Faculty of Civil Engineering - and also life in Weimar.
