Civil engineers are those who design and modify our constructed environment in a future-oriented manner – an occupation that involves planning, design, construction and completion of buildings and structures.

Course of Study

The ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) is used throughout and greatly simplifies the process of evaluating and recognizing academic achievement attained at other institutions of higher education. These credits confirm that the student has successfully completed the subject as well as the required course work for the subject.

Project study is an essential aspect of the degree programme. Each semester, the projects offer students an opportunity to conduct practice-oriented, comprehensive and interdisciplinary work with buildings and structures in their life cycles. This includes the process of planning, construction, usage, conversion, renovation and demolition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

The language of the course is German. Requirement for starting studies is a proof of sufficient German language skills. Necessary is the reference level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The following certificates are accepted as proof here:

  • German Language Examination for University admission (DSH-2)
  • TestDaF (min. TDN 4)

or an equivalent proof.
