Welcome Harry!

Since the beginning of May, the Chair of Transport System Planning has been the proud owner of an electric cargo bike that will not only beautify our paths in the future, but also serve as a showpiece for sustainable mobility.

Our cargo bike was christened Harry today, because like the famous wizard it also lives in a cupboard under a staircase, and is now to be used as an object of research, communication and demonstration, and of course to be actively ridden. With its equipment, the cargo bike is ideal for city use, because thanks to its electric motor, it reliably supports all journeys in three different modes, up to a speed of 25 km/h. With Harry's support, in future even cargo rides in hilly Weimar will no longer be a problem. This purchase was funded and made possible by the Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation as part of the Cargobike Invest programme.
