Job offer as student/scientific assistant (m/f/d)

The Chair of Transport System Planning is looking for a student/scientific assistant (m/f/d) to work on the administration of the IT infrastructure of the chair with a workload of at least 40 hours/month (by arrangement).

Your tasks:

  • Setup and maintenance of the IT infrastructure
  • Maintenance of the Linux server environment
  • Administration of the technology loan
  • Conception and implementation of an inventory system
  • Coordination with the IT structural units of the Bauhaus University
  • Support of the college in information technology issues
  • Support in the procurement of hardware and software
  • Support of the conference room

Your profile:

  • Student at a German university
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Linux and Windows knowledge, ideally also experience in administration
  • Programming skills
  • Confident handling of confidential data
  • Experience with IT security is an advantage
  • Intercultural competence and a friendly demeanor
  • Independent and accurate work and the willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics are expected
  • Technical knowledge in the field of traffic planning optional

    • When hired as a student assistant: 10,00 €/hour
    • If hired as a research assistant (with bachelor degree): 11,00 €/hour
