Guest lectures in Vilnius

In the current spring semester, Julius Uhlmann, member of the Chair of Transport System Planning, was invited as guest lecturer to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania).

On two dates, a total of eight hours of teaching were held in the master course "Urban Transport System". On the first date (29.03.) the students were introduced to the basics of macroscopic transport modeling, while on the second date (12.04.) the lecture focused on the integration of different transport modes. Due to the current pandemic situation, the events unfortunately had to take place digitally.

Bauhaus University Weimar and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech) have been partner universities for many years. Since 2018, there have been deeper exchanges and cooperation in the field of transport sciences. As part of the cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rasa Ušpalytė-Vitkūnienė was a guest at the Weimar Lecture Series "International Case Studies in Transportation" in early 2020. Mr. Uhlmann's guest lectureship at the invitation of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University Vilnius represented the return visit as part of a lively partnership.

Both sides were very pleased to be able to continue the exchange of academic staff in this way even under pandemic conditions and look forward to further cooperation and a lively exchange of staff and students in the future.
