Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Koch

The Chair of Intelligent Technical Design is concerned with the application of modern information and communication technology (ICT) during the design, the construction and the operation of civil infrastructure, such as buildings, bridges, tunnels, road and pipe networks. In this regard, we use methods of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Computer Vision and Machine Learning as well as Virtual and Augmented Reality to efficiently and sustainably inform decision makers.

Three contributions to the European Conference on Computing in Construction (EC3) 2022

Three contributions by members of the ITD team were presented at this year's conference on the Greek island of Rhodes.

Fulya Tasliarmut was represented twice as an author on the topic of "Mixed Reality" in collaboration with Mahsa Mirboland as well as on how to conduct user studies in times of pandemic.

Judith Krischler presented a paper on GIS and BIM integration for railway projects, which was a collaboration with Martina Mellenthin Filardo from the Chair of Construction Engineering and Management.

The contributions can be found at the following links:

M. Mirboland, F. Tasliarmut, A. Abrahamczyk, C. Koch: A mixed reality application for holographic structural analysis experiments, DOI: 10.35490/EC3.2022.206
