Shortly before Christmas, we received the funding approval for the research project AuCity 3, the successor project to AuCity 2. AuCity 3 with the subtitle "Collaborative and Adaptive Mixed Reality in Higher Education using the example of civil engineering" focuses on the aspects of interactions between students during learning as well as the provision of custom-fit learning tasks for students. AuCity 3 will run for 30 months from March 1 of this year until August 31, 2024, and will work with project partners of the University Ulm and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The project is being funded by the BMBF as part of the greater research goal of "Digital Hochschulbildung" (Digital Higher Education) with 1,5 Mill. €, from which 495 T € were granted to Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The project is led by Prof. Steffi Zander from the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is represented by the project leader Professor Christian Koch (Intelligent Technical Design) and the Bauhaus-Institute for Infrastructure Solutions (b.is). The focus is placed in particular on the implementation of practical
teaching/learning scenarios and the transfer of knowledge from instructional design and the psychology of learning using innovative Mixed Reality technologies into the teaching of civil engineering.
