Sebastian Büttner celebrates his 10 year anniversary at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

We congratulate our colleague on the occasion of his work anniversary and would like to thank him for his active support of the Chair of Energy Systems in the past years.

Sebastian Büttner has been a Research Assistant at the Bauhaus University Weimar since 2010. After five years at the Chair of Urban Water Management, during which he was part of the Water and Environment Working Group, he began working for the Chair of Energy Systems in 2015. As an expert in wastewater management he investigates the potentials of hydrogen systems and their deployment in wastewater treatment plants, namely the use of electrolysis oxygen in the biological treatment of wastewater. This work is undertaken within the framework of the HYPOS project LocalHy. Sebastian also supports the WIR!-initiative h2-well - Hydrogen source and value-added region Main-Elbe-LINK. He contributed to the development of the underlying concept of this project, which envisages a distributed hydrogen economy in the region between the rivers Main and Elbe. In addition to his research on hydrogen infrastructure systems he also works on energy system and process technology as well as environmental technology.
