TRAIL² - 1st workshop took place in Weimar

Research group meets for the first time with all representatives of the joint project TRAIL²

The TRAIL² research project aims to optimize the energy supply of small towns and villages with less than 10,000 inhabitants and reduce energy costs with the help of a data-based online tool.

The tool visualizes the electricity and heat requirements of the villages based on freely available geo and statistical data as well as information on funding programs, contact persons and basic technical data on the network structures.

The focus of the 1st working meeting in Weimar was initially on energy-related district planning, so that municipalities can get an introduction to the topic and find their way through the jungle of subsidies.

We are looking forward to the continuing project and the cooperation with all project partners!
