Anthotypie, Foto: Jonas Tegtmeyer

In workshops, either individual topics of the introductory courses are extracted or techniques can be tried or learned that are rarely or not at all used in the everyday work in the photo workshop.
Either these are offered on topics and techniques on demand, or regularly as workshops, the so-called "Friday Workshops".

Topics and techniques so far:

  • Camera Technique - which design tools are offered by camera systems (photo)
  • Large format photography analogue - working with the large format camera
  • Large format enlargements analogue - making analogue colour or b/w large-format enlargements (> A2)
  • BW-Lab - working in the darkroom, enlargement and chemical processing of b/w prints
  • Medium format technique - getting to know and working with a medium format camera
  • Focal length tests - image effect when using different focal lengths
  • Cyanotypes, salt print, album print, callitype, platinum print, anthotype - 19th century printing techniques
  • Wet plate photography - production and processing of light-sensitive glass or aluminium plates according to a process from 1850
  • Adobe Photoshop - Advanced basics, from the desktop to editing layer masks, workflow and problem solving
  • Light painting - lighting technique, static is drawn with light
  • Direct Positiv -  Inexpensive process to create direct positives with colour negative paper, similar to Polaroid.
