Project description

Everyone in Weimar knows it: the Atrium, the shopping mall in the city center, the (self-proclaimed) “Center of Life”. But how well do we really know the Atrium and the people who come and go there? Find out in the exhibition project of the Art and Social Terrain class!

During the winter semester, the students took a close look at the “Center of Life”, got in touch with visitors, developed their own positions individually and in groups and were given the opportunity to present them on site. In addition to an exhibition of the artistic works, the highlight will be the opening of the “Skill-Share-Shop” between February 5 and February 11, 2025 - a store where (everyday) experts can offer workshops and share their skills and knowledge with others.

The exact schedule will be published in advance in the atrium (2nd basement) and on Instagram (see link), as prior registration is sometimes required. But feel free to drop by at any time, because the store is constantly changing and there is always something new to discover!

You can also look forward to a spectacular opening on 04.02.2025 with a tour of the shopping center accompanied by performance, concert and, of course, drinks!

Wir eröffnen mit einer gemeinsamen Tour durch das Atrium Ausstellungsraum und Skill-Share-Shop. Irgendwas zwischen Schlagerparty und Sektempfang, moderiert von Kitte.
