Project description

Beyond the Surface, "A Fashion Reverie," embodies the essence of a journey into the unconscious. The various levels and dimensions depicted in the imagery draw inspiration from the psychological concepts of C.G. Jung, specifically the archetypes residing within our unconscious. The narrative journey of "individuation," involving the integration of archetypal forces, guides the "Tableaux Vivants" and presents an individual interpretation of the artist herself engaging with the theory of archetypes. The transformation of personality and individuation is staged using costumes from the Archiv-Theater Erfurt. "Reverie" represents the dreamlike state that compels the protagonist to approach her unconscious and give a face to her archetypes—a stage of self-revelation.
