Project description
Our Impossible Machine project is about building a Rube Goldberg Machine (https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube-Goldberg-Maschine). We are 19 students divided into 5 groups. Each group has chosen a different topic which is expressed through the respective machine. The topics deal with all natural phenomena such as avalanches, tsunamis and much more. For many weeks we designed the machines mentioned and worked on them in the workshops. We were able to gain insights into the wood, metal, plastic, plaster and photo workshop in order to realize our concepts. All 5 individual machines are connected to each other. The viewer is able to start all the machines on the first machine, causing a chain reaction to occur. Each machine automatically resets itself to the default setting, allowing it to start again from the beginning. Furthermore, all machines are artistically and optically adapted to the selected natural phenomena
