Project description
Arguing with each other, struggling for the best argument, understanding each other and, above all, putting up with each other - discourse and discussion are part of our society and, in our basic democratic attitude, the basis for joint development.
Our perception is influenced by our own experiences, knowledge, perspectives, hierarchies and emotions. In an age in which our discussions no longer take place in an isolated room and we have to perceive more points of view, perspectives and needs than ever before, our culture of discussion needs to be rediscovered and adapted.
Are there virtual arguments? What does a complex point of view looks like? How can emotions, positions and relationships be shown outside of verbal communication and how can technologies such as augmented reality be implemented here in a meaningful way? As designers, we see our sphere of influence in this exact translation.
This project explored our way of communicating with each other and how technology can help us to do so. So we invite you to explore our "discussion turn" and imagine with us what our discussion culture could look like in the future.
