Project description

Within a seminar about musicological filmmaking we found that there is no such thing as "the musicological film". This led to a process in which all participants were steering into different directions of music, science, film and the making of it.
In our case the result was something like a short film-essay playing with the reflections on musicology in a free flow of associations that is gliding through the misty subject. What is sound? How do we describe it? What urgency is pushing us towards research in music?
By floating around the subject it becomes apparent that we are within a trans- and interdisciplinary field, yet we can only start by grasping what our perception (mainly our ears) tells us. Only after that research may start.
