Project description

PROJECT 1: QUILTING

The view from my bed to a pink colored house facade. Cozy sheets and sun beaming in my face.
Despite the many changes and the new regulations it was all about: Long walks outside, being
cozy together with my roommates, cooking new dishes, warm light and candlelight, cold wind and
warm jackets, trips and crafts. A somewhat slowed down everyday life
Mending text:
So far I have not mended many things. I have either lived with the holey clothes or worn them
until it was no longer possible. The garment I want to mend is an old sleeping tshirt from my
mother. It is so worn out that it became a very soft and thin material. Over the years many holes
have formed through the fabric. When I look at my reference pictures, I remember a very cozy
weekend at my best friends house. I feel comfortable there, just as comfortable as i feel in my old
sleep tshirt. Security, safety and coziness. So the shirt also fits the whole theme of the course,
because i almost always wear it when i!m at home. And during the time of the pandemic i spent a
lot of time at home. I plan to wear this shirt for many more years. It has become very important to
me over time. Thats also why i didnt want to change the piece of clothing that much.
