It's not a shoe without you

It's not a shoe without you // Free project // Andreas Sonnefeld, Marcus Slomczyk // Productdesign (Master of Arts (M.A.)) //

Free project »It's not a shoe without you«
von Andreas Sonnefeld, Marcus Slomczyk

superviced by:
Prof. Heiko Bartels

Following the freely reworked German saying »MIT DIR WIRD EIN SCHUH DRAUS« (IT’S NOT A SHOE WITHOUT YOU) you can now assemble a pair of COMAKE Shoes on your own at home: and that in an environmentally friendly and fair manner. COMAKE and its shoes are taking a new and transparent approach to shoe manufacture, offering a real alternative to changing fashion trends, cheap mass production and irreparable disposable offers.

This new type of shoe manufacturing offers the chance to »understand« both the purity of the materials used, as well as the simplicity of the design. Step by step, and with your own hands you will discover a deeper sensation and appreciate the real value of shoes.

The second variation – the COMAKE LAZY is manufactured under fair conditions near to the company. If, after many shared kilometres with your COMAKE SHOES, the distance does finally leave its mark, your shoes are still a long way from the dustbin. The COMAKE HUNGRY and the COMAKE LAZY offer the chance to replace the soles easily yourself.

Simplicity, durability, fairness – values that are guaranteed by a simple construction, and a targeted selection of materials and manufacturers. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of environmentally friendly and natural materials. COMAKE SHOES are made of 99.4 % renewable resources.
