As part of the summaery2020, a new format is currently being created: The Summer Reel! The former »Medienrolle« and the »Sommernachtstape«, which until now have each presented the best films of the year by students of media art and design and visual communication, will be given a new look. The Summer Reel will present your selected films with additional background information and interviews.
This year the event will take place online. Among the selected short films an audience award will be presented for the first time. All submitted works have the chance to be presented on the professional T-Port platform. T-Port is considered a hip source for film festivals and film production companies looking for new talent.
Call for Entries
Only students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can submit their film works. The format is open: Short film, animation, documentary or video art not exceeding 20 minutes in length and not made before the summer semester 2019 are welcome. (In exceptional cases, the film length may be exceeded slightly).
You can submit your films and film information until Tuesday, June 30, 2020 via the link below.
All copyrights should be clarified before submitting the film. If copyrighted content is used in the film, please indicate this explicitly when submitting the film.
For promotional purposes for the online event, you are welcome to submit screenshots of your films, otherwise the Summer Reel Team will do this for you. Please select up to three screenshots and provide us with them as well.
