E-Mail from the Presidium: Amended Basic Hygiene Plan
Dear students and staff of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar,
An amended version of the university's Basic Hygiene Plan has been in effect since 14 October 2022. This mail is intended to inform you on the important conditions that apply at the university and on campus.
Wearing a Mask and Maintaining Distance:
The general recommendation is that everyone wear a mask and maintain distance between one another. Masks must be worn whenever 1.5 metre-distancing cannot be maintained. Under this rule, either medical masks (surgical masks) or FFP2 masks must be worn.
Amendments in the 7th Basic Hygiene Plan Include the Following Three Points:
- Masks: Masks are recommended in buildings, when entering and exiting exam buildings or moving between rooms, in washrooms, foyers, kitchens (other than when food or beverages are being consumed), and in other waiting areas of the university. In these cases, the minimum 1.5 metres between individuals must be observed. Masks must be worn whenever the 1.5 metre distance cannot be observed.
- Working from Home (mobile work): The current home office regulations (Flexible Work Location Agreement) are applicable and may be expanded upon when it comes to infection prevention in the workplace. Working from home may be arranged through mutual agreement between employees and supervisor, provided this does not disrupt operational processes and the work can be performed from home without restriction. The agreement must be documented using the »Vereinbarung Mobile Arbeit zum Zwecke des Infektionsschutzes« form: https://www.uni-weimar.de/fileadmin/user/uni/dezernate/dp/Flexibilisierung_Arbeitsort/Dokumente/Vereinbarung_Mobile_Arbeit_Infektionsschutz.pdf
- Catering: The recommendation that food and beverages served at events be pre-portioned and individually sealed is no longer in effect.
The reader version of the Basic Hygiene Plan in its entirety can be found at: www.uni-weimar.de/rahmenhygieneplan. The English version will be available shortly.
We ask you to continue to observe the current rules and regulations and to behave responsibly. Only by doing so can we prevent the spread of infection here at the university. Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
on behalf of the Board of Governance,
Prof. Dr. Jutta Emes
Interim President of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar
