The already announced decision of the Presidium and the Staff Council on the hygiene concept of the Faculty has been received: the concept has been largely approved. This means that the first opening of rooms and lending of equipment can now take place successively from 25 June 2020, in compliance with the hygiene conditions.
In a first step, the following central and decentral workshops will offer lending possibilities:
In the photo studio, individual PC workstations with scanners, one workstation for reproductions, two studio workplaces as well as three laboratory workstations are available upon registration and according to the occupation plan.
In the Mediapoint and in the video workshop, the editing rooms are open to students as individual workrooms with an occupation plan.
In the metal workshop and in the plaster and mould making workshop individual students can work on demand and with a shift schedule.
In the animation room, in the animation studios and in the stop-motion-room, individual students can work according to the occupation plan.
In the CIP-Pool, one student per room can work with an occupation plan again. Additional services are offered.
The printing workshop and the workshop for wood, plastics, CAD/CAM and model making are currently not open to students, but offer a wide range of services.
Important: Please note that priority will be given to requests from students who require lending or access to workshops in order to write their theses. For the central workshops, please contact the respective heads of the workshops. For the decentral workshops and labs of the professorships of Media Art and Media Design, please contact the respective artistic associates (by phone or e-mail).
Concerning examinations or final presentations with attendance the Faculty and the University have drawn up a framework hygiene plan for holding. Students are kindly requested to address any inquiries regarding examination arrangements to their examiners or supervisors.
The examination of the opening of additional rooms is an ongoing process. In preparation for the winter semester, the faculty is working on providing attendance opportunities under hygiene regulations.
