Ein denkwürdiges Semester: ganz fern, verteilt und doch nah, vernetzt und digital. Die Shortlist 2020 führt die Ergebnisse der spannendsten Projekt-, Fach- und Wissenschaftsmodule der Fakultät Kunst und Gestaltung an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar im Sommersemester 2020 auf. Als Teil der summæry werden unterschiedlichste Arbeiten aus den Studiengängen Freie Kunst, Medienkunst/Mediengestaltung, Produktdesign und Visuelle Kommunikation gezeigt.

Unter besonderen Bedingungen und mit vielen neuen Perspektiven – vom 30. Juli bis 2. August findet in diesem Jahr die »summaery2020 remote« der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar statt. Der Zusatz »remote« (deutsch: entfernt) weist darauf hin: Die Orte der Jahresschau – sonst über den gesamten Stadtraum Weimars verteilt – werden bis auf wenige Ausnahmen ins Virtuelle verlegt. Studierende und Lehrende präsentieren online, mit welchen Themen und Projekten sie sich im aktuellen Studienjahr beschäftigt haben. Und daraus eröffnen sich für die Gäste viele Chancen, das Studium an der Universität kennenzulernen, wie es sie in dieser Form noch nie gab. Die Federführung der Jahresschau hat in diesem Jahr die Fakultät Bauingenieurwesen.

xCoAx is an international conference that promotes the discussion and discovery of synergies at the frontiers of digital art, in the form of a multidisciplinary questioning on aesthetics, computing, communication and the elusive X factor that connects them all. The global CoViD-19 emergency imposed a rapid rethinking of the nature and structure of xCoAx, which is now online, still comprised of papers, artworks and performances. For the first time, xCoAx is a totally open event where everyone can attend and join the discussion!

From Wednesday, July 8, 2020, graphics by the Iranian artist Farzane Vaziritabar will be on display on the northern veranda of the Nietzsche Archive. In her cartoons she deals with Nietzsche - sometimes thoughtfully, sometimes humorously.

Das interdisziplinäre Radioprojekt »ShiftFM« des Sommersemesters 2020 geht eine Woche lang on air. Von Montag, 6. Juli, 19 Uhr, bis Montag, 13. Juli, 23 Uhr, läuft das Programm im Stream auf der Website www.bauhaus.fm und zeitweise auf Radio Lotte Weimar.

The already announced decision of the Presidium and the Staff Council on the hygiene concept of the Faculty has been received: the concept has been largely approved. This means that the first opening of rooms and lending of equipment can now take place successively from 25 June 2020, in compliance with the hygiene conditions.
