PUBLIC ART – OUT AND ABOUT (Walking While Thinking)

In a dialogue format between two artists, Ina Weise and Raul Walch will explore common themes, varying strategies and shared discourses of their work. Both artists create site-specific works, video performances, interventions and establish a balance between craft and concept in their work.

Ina Weise’s work consists of site-specific performances and temporary interventions in public realm, artistic research, and collective work, combining these in a search for new and alternative ways to making art.
An essential aspect of Raul Walch’s work is to exhibit not only in conventional exhibition spaces, but to specifically explore the public sphere and marginalized places focusing on creating an unconventional approach to social realities.
Currently both Weise and Walch are Artistic Associates at the MFA-programme «Public Art and New Artistic Strategies» at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
