Lisa Glauer, Berlin, Anke Hannemann, Weimar
Lisa Glauer will present the mammamil ICH-AG, dealing with the fully incorporated self, the Jellibelly Ego-stroking service (Glauer/Wenzel), on the cultural technique of making compliments, and the AKW Job Auction (Glauer/Huber/Hermann), a reverse auction aimed explicitly at finding the greatest self-exploiters. This performative interaction took place at the AGORA biennial in Athens (2013) and will be shown at ngbk within „Enjoy (Y)our State of Emergency“ in Dec. 2014. Primarily working in public space, Anke Hannemann deals with general concepts of belonging, Heimat, identity and memory, being interested in the linkage between architectural deconstruction in post-socialist countries and reconstructed or recreated personal and collective identity as a result of major political and social change. In her process oriented work that often derives from written or spoken word she combines found material, sound or video appreciating the ephemeral and transitory effects especially art in public space has.Vortrag in englischer Sprache.
