Narration is all araound
Narration is whereever people are. In every area of life. More than ever, this applies to the various types of media messages. But how does narration work? What should media art designers know about it? What are the lingusitc and visual means that constitute narratives?
In the field of Multimedia Narration, we search for basic patterns, rules and variations of narrative forms in Media Art and Design in order to develop design solutions. We emphasize on unexpected, imaginative approaches that dare to stray off the trodden paths of standardised conventions. Particularly the wide range of technical and aesthetic prospects of analogue and digital 2D animation are being explored through pixillation, drawn animation, rotosoping and cut out animation. These techniques represent this field’s focus of study.
