1. Allocation of Projects
- Bachelor Architecture 2./ 4./ 6. semester
- Bachelor Urban Studies: 4. semester
- Master Architecture and MediaArchitecture: 2.-3. semester
On 3 April 2022, 9 am, there will be a presentation (in German language) of the design project in the above mentioned study programs in the Audimax/Weimar and online.
Once again, in addition to the information in the BISON portal, a separate website (link will be available from 31.03.2023 5pm to 03.04.2023, 23:59 pm CET) will be activated where you can view all presentations (PDF or videos) on the semester projects offered. Kindly note that you can only acces the website if you've logged in the intranet of the university via VPN-Client.
The obligatory registration for all semester (design) projects is done via the well-known online portal: https://www.uni-weimar.de/architektur/projektanmeldung
Registration is only possible from 31.03.2023 5pm to 03.04.2023, 23:59
The allocation of the places will be announced no later than 04.04.2022 by 1 pm.
From 04.04.2022 2 pm the first (virtual) meetings of the core/project modules can take place. Please take a look at the websites of the respective chairs offering the project you are allocated for.
You will have to choose three options in this allocation process. Students who do multiple choices of one and the same project and/ or miss the deadline will not be considered.
If you have been allocated a place, then proceed according to point 2 (see below).
Students who could not obtain a place must contact directly and personally the offering professorships which still have free capacities.
2. Registration and cancellations in BISON
2.1. Course registations
The mandatory registration for all courses takes place from 03.04. to 17.04.2023 for the following programs:
- Architektur, B.Sc.
- Architektur, M.Sc.
- MediaArchitecture, M.Sc. (only the courses of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanistics)
The mandatory registration for all courses takes place from 03.04. bis 02.05.2023 for the following programs:
- Urbanistik, B.Sc.
- Urbanistik, M.Sc.
- European Urban Studies, M.Sc.
- Integrated Urban Development and Design, M.Sc.
Registration is only possible via BISON-Portal.
2.2. Exam registrations
The exam registration based on the online course registration is done automatically in the BISON portal. You can only deregister for the exams via the BISON portal within the deadline of 15.05. up to and including 26.06.2023.
The withdrawal /change of the design project need to be made no later than 17.04.2023.
According to § 4 of the applicable examination regulations, registration for the course is also registration for the examination. Even if you do not register/deregister for the exam in BISON after registering for the course, you are still required to take the exam. Non-attendance will be graded with a "5,0" and you will give away one examination attempt.
Attention. In case of a failed examination from one of the previous semesters, you will automatically be registered for the repeat examination in the same module. In this case, you will automatically take the exam or you will withdraw from the exam in due time.
If you have successfully deregistered from an examination - regardless of the reason - you are obliged to take the exam at the end of the following semester.

Once you have completed the examination, you can see your grades exclusively via the BISON portal.
3. General regulations about withdrawals
In accordance with the regulations in the relevant study (§8) and examination regulations (§4), you are required to register for the course and associated examinations.
The registration for the respective examination is made simultaneously with the registration for the course. Withdrawal from registration is generally possible up to two weeks or four weeks after the start of the lecture period, i.e.
- from 03.04. to 17.04.2023 Architecture, MediaArchitecture
- from 03.04. to 02.05.2023 for Urban Studies, European Urban Studies, Intergrated Urban Development and Design
Withdrawal from the examination is only possible via BISON-Portal by 26 June 2023.
