At the moment, all black and yellow water as well as gray water produced at the university are discharged into a sewage treatment plant via the sewer system. On the one hand, this makes purification and reuse difficult or impossible, and on the other hand, valuable minerals contained in the feces and urine could be used for fertilizer (for example, for the campus garden, the meadow orchard or other green areas in the city).

The university has applied for the European Bauhaus grant and accordingly should make an effort to change and test structures that can stop climate change in the long term and contribute to the effort for climate justice.
