Projektbeschreibung
The exhibition presents the ongoing processes of courses and thesis projects that have evolved during the semester through a collective framework. Drawing on multiperspective and transcultural knowledges from architecture, art, and theory, the works engage in spatial research and share a common aim: to question dominant forms of spatial, artistic, and epistemological imagination and representation.
During the semester, we pursued inquiries into the history of fifty years of the International Bauhaus Colloquium, the representation of large projects and infrastructures through architectural media, and the exhibition as a spatial, material, and performative mediator of research. These investigations raised broader questions: How do we position ourselves as researchers and/or designers today – and what forms of collective understanding, institutional practice, and public exchange do we develop for the future? How do we understand our processes as an expanded architectural practice?
What is shown —works, fragments, and finds— are traces of processes, shaped through regular interaction between an international and interdisciplinary group of participants, who adopt various and shifting roles to engage with distinct approaches, methodologies, and practices. This collaborative learning format is based on active participation and contributions from all involved, encouraging reflexive and critical practices, including archival research, image theory, and spatial translation.
