Projektbeschreibung
For summaery24, open surfaces hosts projects that explore and develop spatial and artistic ideas, through collective feedback and critique. The projects were discussed in the two seminars “open sessions” and “Bauhaus fragility – we need to talk about racism at our university.”.
The exhibition presents glimpses of works that are in the process. Through regular interaction and a structure that aims to be non-hierarchical, we took on various and changing roles to engage with diverse approaches, processes, and practices. This collaborative format promotes active participation and contributions from all involved, understanding knowledge production as reciprocal and intersubjective.
These projects confront the fixed binary distinction between creator and critic, emphasising a structural mode of mutual interest and care. The goal is to reshape perspectives and power dynamics, fostering a platform for critical, cooperative thinking, research, and process-oriented production.
open surfaces provide a space by encouraging a conscious stance against exclusion and promoting inclusive practices.
