Projektbeschreibung

“Films are a very modern and beautiful way of presenting the DNA of a brand”, says designer Markus Lupfer.

Small labels can also create interesting films without blowing their budget. It is all about telling a story that fits for the label and is innovative and interesting enough to appeal to potential customers. And this is the task for the 30 students of Bauhaus University Weimar. They have to examine and understand the concepts of the young European fashion designers and come up with ideas for how to implement these concepts in film. Olaf Nenninger and Jörg Heiß are experienced media professionals who support them in the design and production of the short video clips. The APOLL award will be awarded to the best three films in 2020. For the first time the film awards of the Apolda European Design Award (AEDA) are being awarded as cash prizes. Due to corona the big fashion show and the awarding of the young fashion designers in Apolda's town hall had to be cancelled this summer. Nevertheless the APOLL will be the prize for the best fashion films at this year's media art award ceremony. The total prize money of €1000 is provided by the AEDA.
