Gaze-based interaction enables users to communicate with a system via eye movements. To carry out input arguments, participants usually need to fixate items or a letters for a certain period to select it ("dwell-time" approach). According to recent studies, experienced users work sufficiently well with dwell-times of approx. 300 milliseconds. The video presents a speller prototype featuring a dwell-time of 300ms. Whenever gaze is set upon a letter, the particulary field is highlighted yellow. Red flashes indicate a successful selection.
