Francesca Romana Ciardi, Berlin
Francesca Romana Ciardi is a performer, independent curator and creative producer working at the intersection of live art, site-specific performance, theatre and video art. Educated in Multimedia Technology, Performance and Cultural Studies in London and Berlin, her work explores and captures the complexities and subtleties of the everyday, whilst reflecting upon notions of belonging, authenticity, freedom, power and compliancy. She also facilitates and supports cultural practitioners, artists and initiatives through project development, production, and mentoring. She is the co-founder of the Month of Performance Art – Berlin and the Association for Performance Art in Berlin (APAB). Ciardi will focus on the MPA-HUB, Berlin’s first house of performance art. It is a temporary structure dedicated to independent performance art practices.
