EVERYTHING WILL BE HERE ALWAYS
Originally composed for concert organ, "Everything Will Be Here Always" is a sound installation that uses real-time solar positioning to trigger musical events. A computer reads a world map marked with indicators of human presence—cultural sites, technological infrastructure—activating sounds as the sun's path crosses each location.
The work premiered at Centro Cultural Kirchner, Buenos Aires, in September 2021, running for eight hours on the Klais opus 1912 organ—the first time this instrument was controlled by an autonomous computer system. Microphones within the organ's mechanisms captured sounds of its braces and motors
The piece contemplates our technological civilization as memory, reproduced and sounded by our machines. What we hear is archive and echo: traces of human presence translated into sustained tones and mechanical breath.
