Instrumentalities Talk & Workshop
13.1.26 & 14.1.26 @ Klang und Intermedia GMPU Klagenfurt
What are and can instruments actually be? Technologies, practices, means, tools, extensions, sensors and transformers of conceptual and physical kind - musical/artistic, cosmological and scientific - researching and oblivious. - Can instrumentalities expand our human perception and scope of action in a way that make our grasp of ‘being-one-part-of-many’ processes and shared habitats grow?
How can artistic practice resonate with temporalities that surpass human perception? And what could happen and develop when one begins to think about everything consistently in terms of interrelationships and to put “ecological thinking” into practice.
The talk & workshop aims to share and initiate a dialogue around different formats and practices spiraling around these open questions. Medium and appearance will vary from self-contained to fragmented, individual, collective, participatory.
